We had the lovely Annabelle join us at Home Innovations for a day of work experience, exploring the world of interior design and getting a little taste of life behind the scenes. Annabelle got stuck straight into setting up the showroom before exploring the centre and discovering new innovations, colours, textures and materials. She also had the opportunity to sit in on a design consultation for a beautiful Mount Martha build, giving her a glimpse into the design. To wrap up her day, we set a creative challenge, creating a beautiful flatlay using materials sourced from exhibitors throughout the centre. Yes — your consultation is free. If your project needs support beyond the Home Innovations design team, we’ll connect you with trusted experts who can help take it further.

How long is a consultation?

Usually around 45 minutes — though we’re happy to take a little longer if your project calls for it.

What should I bring?

Bring along any photos, plans, or inspiration you have. We’ll provide an email address so you can send these through before your consultation. If you don’t have anything yet, just bring your ideas — our designers will guide you from there.

What happens after the consult?

You’ll take home samples of your selections and receive an email summary outlining recommended next steps — including any external professionals who can help bring your project to life.
